The Beauty Of Ballet
Ballet is an artistic art form that originated during Renaissance Italy and further developed into a concert dance form in the 19th century. Using its own vocabulary, this highly technical dance style has defined and influenced many other genres of dance today. Focusing on strength of body and the power and precision of the lower body, Ballet demands grace and expression. There are six internationally recognized and widely used methods of training: the English style being the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance).
At Evolution Dance, we also offer PBT (Progressive Ballet Technique) classes for dancers aged 3 onwards. This innovative training method focuses of body conditioning, muscle memory development and strength building. Whilst all of the cognitive, emotional and physical advantages to dancing are vitally important, we firmly believe that the MOST important aspect of these classes is FUN. Ballet undoubtedly promotes greater flexibility, strength and body awareness; affording the youngest of dancers the opportunity to express themselves, boost their confidence and have fun in a social environment.
